self-isolation is fucking me up badly #1
i've been going to a psycologist since mid-january, since march, i haven't been able to go to it due to the pandemic currently spreading. even though im trying my best to make myself happy via working on what i like and play a bit more games, i just feel hopeless, my dad is currently more & more worried about my mental health (he knows that i go to a psycologist). Im trying to be happy of who i am but i cant, i dont like myself physically and socially, the only thing which i think is nice about me is my personaloty and how toxic i can be to others.

Self-isolation is not helping at whole, even though im literally doing sinister.ly full-time (yes), im not social and the only people i talk to are just a few friends from my school and the discord server. even though im releasing content very often, i can take a long time to release somethings, such as the Sinister.ly theme for dnspy. The reason that "simple content" takes me forever to release is that im having breakdowns after breakdowns, especially in the source code packs were im having 2-3 breakdowns per pack.

I dont like myself, i just want to wake up, code & release, then go sleep. i dont want to be social anymore

It's not good to read, that self-Isolation has a significant negative Impact on your mental state.

Have you asked If your psychologist can do consultations over the phone?

I was about to query the same thing. There are so many services, FaceTime, Skype and simple phone calls that would allow you to still speak to your psychologist. Is there any reason they are not utilising these services to continue sessions with you?

Unless they're not allowed to work due to Furlough? I'm aware some nations are heavily investing in their mental health services for this very reason. Have you looked into what's available to you?

Some very good points.

In my country, unless It's an emergency, the medical sector have stopped seeing patients face-to-face. Instead, they've agreed to offer phone consultations for all medical needs. Those who require their meds, can request It over the phone, whereby the doctor will send the script/hard copy directly to the pharmacy.

The OP should ask the aforementioned questions we've put forward. I'm sure they'll work something out during this time of crisis.

You find it harder to answer your phone to your psychologist than to seeing them face-to-face? How peculiar, most I've met are the opposite. Are you equally averted to video calls?

Your psychologist Is not just anyone. He/she Is the person who's responsible In keeping your emotions In a healthy state, and the reason why this thread exists due to a lack of communication between you both.

Perhaps you should reconsider your decision.

Even though you're in quarantine, you should definitely talk to people still. Even just sharing your feelings, like with this thread, can help. There's also psychologists that operate online or via telephone, if you need professional help. Stay sharp, this will pass.

i prefer texting people compared to talking irl, i hate calling people & especially in facecam due to me being insecure about myself & how i look

Correct.

There's only so much you can say In a text message, and It doesn't necessarily give an Indication of how you're feeling- emotionally. When speaking over the phone, the tone of your voice speaks a thousand words, and your psychologist will detect and address It accordingly. Moreover, you can express yourself a lot better In speech than shooting off a few lines of text.
