If you've never used MacOS or interfaced with DOS, you're probably in for a rough road moving to linux. There are a few distributions that are user friendly (ubuntu, fedora, mint, etc) but I wouldn't ever recommend them with how stupid they've become. I'll tell you this, I've been using linux almost exclusively for 15 years and it still takes a couple weeks to get used to it again after I switch from having windows as a primary. The best way to do it is just to get rid of windows entirely and force yourself to learn how it works. It really comes down to your window manager. Things like gnome are going to be windows-like, KDE is as close as you'll get, but those aren't going to help you much. Fluxbox or Openbox will make you get used to it real quick.
