Some people don't agree with the fact that marijuana is a drug.

Indeed It Is, but many people perceive the term "drug" as detrimental to one's health.

If that's the case, then every prescription medication should be discontinued.

Peresonally I do not take drugs, yet I will not force others to refrain from using them as well. I also won't vote for a political party that wants to ban the use of drugs. I think its better to have the government deregulate drugs and let private corporations sell them, instead of what's happening now where the drug trade is controlled by the black market.

That being said, I do think that I judge people that do drugs more than people who don't.

My take on that is that people are all arguing this from the wrong perspective. I hear it constantly how weed is a safe drug, but why should that matter? What really matters is that you're not using it in a way that is going to hurt others. Thus, my argument is that you own your own body and only you should be making decisions about what can and cannot go into it.

However, you should also consider the thoughts and emotions of others, namely loved ones. Your passing due to an overdose, will have a significant negative Impact on the emotional state of close friends and family.

As many here know I was once a serious drug user (cocaine and opioids). My ownership of my own body never meant anything to my family or others. In fact, it wasnt until after I kicked the addiction that my own family attempted to have me murdered.

The gist here is you can care, or you can decide not to care, but as long as you're peaceful, you have a right to whatever drugs you can purchase.
