Opinion about.. Teachers allowed to bring guns to school. 03-09-2013, 05:18 AM

A new law that the South Dakota Governor has signed allows teachers to bring firearms into the classroom of students from pre-school to college.
How do you feel about that?
I think it is good for teachers to bring guns into school. But all teachers have to submit to have/carry a gun in school and have to go though a multi test for mental and safe stability, and have to go through a gun safety test.
Grazie ora levati dal cazzo.

I think this is exactly what we need. As long as teachers are given background checks, and multiple tests and pass all of them, bringing a gun should be encouraged.
The way I see it, schools should make a system of some kind that connects a box / container to the computer, and inside that container would be the teachers school gun. Not a personal gun, and the container can only be opened from the computer its connected to which would be at the office, administration, etc.
That way, teachers are tested to see if they are able to have a gun at work to begin with, then on top of that,. they can only access it when granted permission.

^ Woot is correct in some scenarios. If this becomes widely accepted, shooters will end up carrying extremely heavy weapons and ammunition and shoot on sight AND killing all the teachers as well, and then stealing the guns.

And if the power is cut, what then? All signals can be disrupted, you should know that as a hacker.
Shooting at someone tends to be perceived as aggressive.
As I said, for obvious reasons you can't have the system you outlined in place.

I think it's a good idea, but what happens if a child was to get ahold of those guns? tut tut.

I would understand if the guns where heavy, automatic guns with RUBBER bullets. Lets say a shooter comes in the room, and you (the teacher) spray the guy with rubber bullets. He's going to go down unconcious and thats it. This way, kids can't kill themselves (only knock themselves unconcious) and the school would still be safe.
