Be careful getting a contract with 3, I worked as a debt collector agent and we held contracts for 3 and a lot of people got into large amounts of debt from their contract renewing from people thinking it just ends I'd advise you have a look at your T&C's because you need to give a 30 day written notice informing them that you opt out once your contract runs out.

you can get some good contract deals from third-party companies that's what im doing to help build my credit because of Vodafone and shit wouldn't let me start a contract.

But for £50 a month i got an iPhone 8 64gb free Spotify for a year and a ps4

Sounds like you got some really cool stuff. Although, I don't think I'd ever spend 50 a month on a phone. I'd rather purchase the PS4 outright and get something different. To each their own though. I've never spent more than roughly a tenner a month on my phone, and purchased phones outright/done giffgaffs phone loan option (aka, just pay for the phone and you're not held to anything else so you can leave/choose a different phone etc).

That's fair, although pay as you go bundle deals work exactly the same in the payment sense. They can be set to automatically come out every month. You don't have to go into a store and top up anymore (though that option still exists).

I remember having to go into the shop and ask for a top up haha but yeah I can renew at the end or half way through but id have to pay off the rest of the contract

Here's an example: Giffgaff can let you get an iPhone 7, 32GB (any colour in stock), and pay 21 pounds a month for 2 years (keep in mind, that's just payment for the phone, you can choose to go to another network anytime as long as you continue to pay for the phone/pay all of it off), then anywhere from 5-25 pounds depending on what you want for data etc. AKA Less than 30 pounds a month for an iPhone 7 and you're not prevented from swapping to another network.

That's almost the same as what I said xD I just added that carriers are starting to offer payment plans for those who can't afford to buy a phone outright. It almost makes contracts pointless. Nearly all carrier top up deals/bundle deals are a month long so far as I've come across in England.
