If I would've gotten a legitimate response regarding how he would think it's possible to run a society whilst having murder legal, It could've gotten a serious discussion because it would have delved into the issue of how justice could be disciplined in such a system and would also thread the line of "If X is ok, why should Y and Z not be?".
