You've made some very valid points here.

I suppose It's all about "change". The monotony of everyday living, can be a significant contributing factor to lack of motivation. If there's nothing exciting, your energy levels drop, so too does your willingness to get motivated.

Usually I just sip an energy drink, tell myself the plan, and just cut right to doing it.

Mainly have to jump right in the routine of getting yourself to do it in my opinion.

I'm quite an introvert, and slack around a lot, especially since I smoke, but once in awhile I just get down to doing the necessities.

And I'd say I'm correct In saying that the latter (6-8 hours), Is a significant difference In your overall well-being.

No matter how hard I try (early nights and whatnot), I can never get 8 hours sleep.

sometimes when i am bored i lack motivation to do. i am a programmer, sometimes i get stuck on projects and never really finish them. like an artist who leaves a portrait unfinished, it feels bad man. eckhart tolle says boredom, sadness, anger and fear are all conditions of the human mind. they are conditions, they are not personal. you are not your conditions. they come and go. nothing that comes and goes is you. if i am procrastinating, i go into the condition fully, i become aware of it, instead of avoiding or resisting it, and just maybe i come out of it.
