If you were using multiple VPNs, chances are you're doing something illegal. Can't the FBI track you though, regardless of the number of VPNs?

From what I know, FBI cant track you if you are using a VPN, what they can do, is go to your VPN service, and look at the logs the VPN service keeps. Then you are fucked.
The VPN you are using will determine whether they will hand in the logs. Hide My Ass handed in the logs of a lulzsec hacker to the FBI

Chaining VPNs is the equivalent of first generation onion networking. It's harder to backtrace than a proxychain, but still not hard.

Of course it's a bummer.
Unless you can chain over one thousand servers, the FBI only needs to follow the trail. Or go to the server that is directly connected to you...
Also if you use that much, it suggests you have something to hide.

FBI has authority mostly in USA, so using chained VPNs from different countries can make their work much harder.
