2 VPNs = More Anonymity - n3cr0m4nc3r - 01-02-2013 Credits to this guy http://ophackstorm.tumblr.com/post/20251581319/how-to-chain-vpns-for-complete-anonymity Basically, all you do is set up a VM, connect to a VPN on your physical machine, and then connect to another VPN through your VM. If you want to, you can to this with an infinite number of VM`s, but keep in mind, with great anonymity, comes great dl lag - Voltaire RE: 2 VPNs = More Anonymity - Xeronations - 01-02-2013 If you were using multiple VPNs, chances are you're doing something illegal. Can't the FBI track you though, regardless of the number of VPNs? RE: 2 VPNs = More Anonymity - n3cr0m4nc3r - 01-02-2013 From what I know, FBI cant track you if you are using a VPN, what they can do, is go to your VPN service, and look at the logs the VPN service keeps. Then you are fucked. The VPN you are using will determine whether they will hand in the logs. Hide My Ass handed in the logs of a lulzsec hacker to the FBI RE: 2 VPNs = More Anonymity - Phytrix - 01-02-2013 (01-02-2013, 05:01 AM)The End Wrote: From what I know, FBI cant track you if you are using a VPN, what they can do, is go to your VPN service, and look at the logs the VPN service keeps. RE: 2 VPNs = More Anonymity - w00t - 01-02-2013 Chaining VPNs is the equivalent of first generation onion networking. It's harder to backtrace than a proxychain, but still not hard. RE: 2 VPNs = More Anonymity - n3cr0m4nc3r - 01-02-2013 Well thats a bummer hum............... RE: 2 VPNs = More Anonymity - Ultimatum - 01-03-2013 Of course it's a bummer. Unless you can chain over one thousand servers, the FBI only needs to follow the trail. Or go to the server that is directly connected to you... Also if you use that much, it suggests you have something to hide. RE: 2 VPNs = More Anonymity - n3cr0m4nc3r - 01-03-2013 (01-03-2013, 04:14 AM)Ultimatum Wrote: Of course it's a bummer. Or you are just paranoid RE: 2 VPNs = More Anonymity - yduuz - 01-04-2013 FBI has authority mostly in USA, so using chained VPNs from different countries can make their work much harder. The FBI has ready authority in many countries, mainly because there are mutual agreements or reliability. There are some countries where it's harder to access such things, though. |
