Any suggestions ?

Sorry, I've been busy and didn't see this before.

That's actually very common on people who, like you, spend a lot of time doing repetitive tasks with a given part of their body, whick in your case would be your right hand. I have seen many cases both at the primary attention clinic and at the hospital, where I have to be with full-fledged doctors as part of my studies.

The first thing you would have to assert is if the pain/disconfort is only on the wrist or goes all the way up to the elbow. If it is the first one (which is probably the case), it is probably a tendonitis. If pain started to go all the way up to the elbow, then maybe you should get it examined by a physician to discard nerve damage.

(You have links in the text between the yellowy **, with pictures)

Now, whilst you are in pain, you shoult try not to forcé that wrist for at least one day or two. Use a wrist brace when awake to prevent forced movements but remove it before going to sleep. **This** kind of wrist brace, the **sports kind** is of no use medically speaking when there is any kind of injury. You could also take some pills to reduce inflammation and pain. Inflammation is the main issue here - it's what's compressing everything in the wrist's tight space, causing disconfort and pain. There are drugs specifically for this, called NSAIDs. Diclofenac, Naproxen and Ibuprofen are the three most used NSAIDs in your case.

The second step is prevention - if you're going to keep doing that kind of activity, try to avoit it becoming repetitive. Take small breaks every 50 minutes or so, and do easy exercises with your wrists - open and close your hand three or four times, stretching your fingers the most that you can; grip your hand with the other one and stretch your wrist, open and close your fingers, touch your thumb with the rest of the fingers of your hand.. Damn, we have great explicative sheets about this at the hospital, with pictures and all, I'm sorry If I cannot make myself easy to understand. Having a soft ball to squeeze, like **this**, is also very useful.

And, well, more or less... feel free to ask if there is something you didn't understand.

About pain all the way from wrist to the elbow. Actually that has happened few times. But mostly I feel discomfort in my thumb or wrist.
Also about medicine to prevent pain. I am actually on Warfarin because I am after surgery and I cannot take any medicine except paracetamol.
I have watched few tutorials how to massage wrist to prevent pain. But that helps on for like 10-20 minutes. My pain starts when I just touch my mouse first 5 minutes is alright and then the pain comes.
I am kinda lost and dunno what to do. Probably gonna go to the hospital to have an xray done or something.

Okay, needed that data.

-Yup, if you are in treatment with warfarin, all NSAIDs are out. That effectively leaves paracetamol (acetaminophen) as the only posible option as a painkiller to you, short of local injections.

-Given on how you describe it, I think you should get it explored. I don't think you need an X-Ray, I don't think you have a problema when it comes to broken bones, but maybe you could have a tennis elbow: it manifests itself more or less the way you say, and it is also very common in people like you. Neither a tennis elbow not a tendonitis rule out an entrapment of the nerve, though you haven't manifested any symptoms of the sort. These conditions can easily be diagnosed by physical exploration, but Internet one is a no-no, I'm afraid.

-Something I forgot to say before: apply cold. It will reduce both inflammation and pain. You don't need anything special, take a bag of peas from the freezer, or something like that, and apply it to your wrist and aching zones, no more tan a couple minutes (remember: the cold is NEVER intended to hurt!), two or three times a day.

I am using a comfort pad. It doesn't change anything.

What are you getting might also be Carpal tunnel syndrome (I didn't find anyone mentioning that, but I apologize if I overlooked) which is a common condition with people who do long repetitive wrist movements (also electricians who solder small circuits or pianists get it as well). It might explain the pain in the wrist and thumb, let me quote "People with CTS experience numbness, tingling, or burning sensations in the thumb and fingers".

Even if it's not this I strongly recommend getting a gel mousepad (if you don't have one) which provides support for your wrist and helps to relieve such symptoms and it can be very effective.

I myself used to get pain in my wrist and fingers in my right hand (that I control mouse with) for some time, so I researched a bit, got gel mousepad and the pain was soon completely gone. I've been using them for a few years already and the pain hasn't come back.
