I think being able to choose a thread of theirs like once a month and be able to make it a sticky would be cool, considering not many people would buy the upgrade (just looking at the current amount of Gold members I don't think they would) it's not like sticky's would become crowded. And also block the use of the sticky thing in the Lounge.

so when someone is all done upgrading their account to the highest level, how much money have the spent? $100? $150? More? That's a lot of money.

I'm not complaining by any means, just stating fact. There has to be a reason to attract someone to spend money, so what's the benefit of spending that kind of scratch? I think in addition to the benefits on the forum, people spending that money need to gain something tangible as well. Something small, but still bad ass, such as say a sinister.ly flash drive and a personal letter from @Oni. Obviously the cost of the custom drive needs to be considered and would need more research.

I think getting SP for the upgrade isn't a bad idea. The other option is give those upgraded users a flat % discount on SP purchases. Another idea, perhaps free user title changes for the upgraded users.

As far as the comment about this idea killing sinister.ly, I doubt that would happen. No one is being forced to purchase such upgrades, and if they flop, they flop. That's the free market, if people don't see value in something, they won't buy it.

I'll ponder the idea more and see if I can think of anything else that would set the new upgrades apart from the existing.

On a serious note though, this is faggotry. Honestly, Oni, stop being so gasy. $75 was already a little high for the first 3 upgrade groups, now you want to add another $100 of upgrades, despite not even being sure what features they'd have yet? It seems ridiculous, both price and concept wise. I'm just giving my honest opinion and saying it the way I see it. SL is becoming kill Oni, it can only take so many stabs before it dies.

I am kind of curious, what made you decide to add new upgrades? And on a side note, please make these the last upgrades. I was happy paying my way to Gold and being max rank, but if you keep adding more and more ranks so I have to keep paying to be top I might just not even bother.

Remove platinum and diamond because they are unnecessary ranks.

I still think there should be a rank that requires some kind of application to be able to purchase.
