Win a Bronze/Silver Upgrade, Suggest New Upgrade Perks! - Oni - 09-24-2014
We're adding a Platinum and a Diamond rank to the forum. These upgrades are super expensive and cost quite a bit. Suggest a feature that would be neat for Platinum or Diamond members. If you make a suggestion that I like, I'll give you a Bronze or Silver upgrade. I have 2 Bronze/Silver upgrades to give away.

Maybe being able to choose a username effect. Better rates in obtaining/buying SP when it has uses. Change usertitle color. View others older usernames. Double the reputation a day.

Allowing people to change username effects could cause problems. Big problems.
Better rates on obtaining SP is a thing that could possibly be added. Depends what people think.
I'm not sure if we could allow them to change their usertitle colors. It'd be pointless, though.
If username history is added again, it will be for everyone. Not just upgraded members.
Doubling the reputation for a day would be pointless, since these members would already be able to rep a lot.

Yeah, it's tough coming up with stuff. Kind of just throwing ideas that come up and browsing the forum to maybe spark my imagination with something I'd like if I upgraded.

. The highest upgraded members can get their own awards to hand out. Although that could get out of control. I got nothing else.

I like the idea where Dia members can make their own awards.. but it should only be one award per member.

- Maybe some SP to help 'soften the blow'?
- Special award might be nice.
- Kind of a stretch, but an award they can give out to like, 5 people?
- Already mentioned, but a 25% boost for Platinum and 50% boost for Diamond when earning SP.
- Optional Username prefix/suffix? Like Reverence's red plus sign.
- An extra SP game exclusive to Platinum/Diamond (like a roulette game or something)
- "Shareholder" status? As in every future decision of the site gets passed on to them before everyone else, and they can be involved in decision-making.
- A free piece of Sinister.ly merch? (T-shirt, Poster, etc)

No. There's no blowing.
Gold has one, why not? I'll need to make 3 new awards, but that's fine.
No. That will suck if we end up with like 30 new awards.

"Shareholder" implies that they own part of Sinisterly, when they don't. I can involve them, though.
A random piece of Sinisterly merchandise sounds cool.

I'll try coming up with a few more if I can, but so far:
Access into early-dev access for the site, maybe a new dev section so they can voice their opinions before it's released to the public.
They can also use their own custom userbar if they choose, or have someone commission it.
Maybe for the top rank (Diamond), they can be mentioned on a donator page. Or just a donator page in general that shows people who donated.
Signature character limit increased.
Double SP per post/thread.

I could see that happening, since they've contributed quite the amount to keep the site up and running; a separate section for the Diamond members as "Top Donators".
