I've now stuck this thread due to people still not following the guide. This guide will make it easier for the members and the staff to deal with it properly and effeciently.

On my site I require a user's posts to be manually approved by site staff until they have 3 approved posts. The restriction doesn't get in the way of anything and solves a lot of problems with spam. It's not the easiest approach to solve spam but perhaps Sinisterly would benefit from such an approach.

Coming up with your own sort of anti-spam replacement probably would be the best way to prevent spam there are so many people breaking captchas easily, and on top of that even the newer google ones don't do much because people started breaking the audio captchas too.
