What To Do With Spam Bots on The Forum #1
I've seen an increase of spam bots on the forum again lately, but you guys are making the situation much worse than it needs to be. This thread will inform you guys on what to do when you see a spam bot (forum/website spamming - CC Shops etc).

What To Do
  • Report the thread straight away when you see it
  • Wait for Oni or myself to deal with the thread
  • If Oni or myself don't deal with it within 24 hours PM one of us
  • Ignore the thread completely once reported
  • If you witness one account making multiple spam threads - copy the link for all of them and PM Oni

What NOT To Do
  • Do NOT post on the thread as this bumps the thread for more people to see
  • Do NOT just leave the thread without reporting it as we will not get the report
  • Do NOT leave it up to anyone else to report the thread
  • Do NOT follow up with anything posted on the thread
  • Do NOT insult the OP on the thread as it is a spam bot and the person will not even see it

Here are a few spam bot examples:

Nice thread BreShiE, but it would be better if Oni actually got off his black person ass and promoted another admin to deal with this.

Wouldn't even need to be an administrator, it could be a moderator. He's deciding on who should deserve it. He already offered it to one member who turned it down due to him practically becoming a target.

Who was the member?

OT: Thank you for this information Bresh.

This thread deserves a sticky.

It's okay. You can tell him BreShiE. It was me. Oni thought I was such a great person and member that he decided to give me a try at being a mod, but me being the hero I am declined the offer so I wouldnt have to press buttons to ban people and shit, because from Oni doing it we have learnt its a very hard thing to do.

I think even the most simplest of morons will know how untrue this is.

Thanks for this nice thread. That's what I normally do, everytime I see something unusual.

Hidden Lesson: Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of.

I understand. What do you mean by, "became a target"?
