Why Kali? Everything runs as root so if anyone gets into your machine, you are royally boned.

When you access root on a *nix machine:

Good move with Deep Freeze.

I've been using It for many years to date (on selected systems) and In the event of Infection/corruption, a simple reboot will restore It to It's previous functional state.

I am currently running macOS Mojave. I also have another hard drive in my laptop with ParrotOS installed on it. I would have used Kali, but my internal network card isn't supported by Kali anymore. The hardware files are there, it just won't work for some reason. I tried everything I could possibly find online. So I said fuck it and installed Parrot. At least my network card works with it. -_-

Windows 10 Pro on my desktop for gaming and any programs that need Windows, Linux Mint on my laptop for programming and any on the go tasks I need more than my phone to do. Just started using Linux a few months ago. I've been quite enjoying learning the nuances of it, I've been hesitant for so many years to make the jump but I'm glad I did.

Your brother isn't really the person I would worry about. One wrong slip and a hacker will have complete control over EVERYTHING. If everything runs as root, there is very little protection to keep you safe. And unless you are actively penetration testing(or hacking on your own) there is no reason to even have Kali installed. Its just Debian with a bunch of hacking tools installed that runs as root automatically.
As a security guy, trust me when I say using it as a main OS is like playing with fire. For your own safety, don't use it outside of actual hacking projects. At the very least, set up a profile that is not root, and lock the root account tightly.
