With cracks/activators, Windows Is also free. Since the good ol' 16-bit Windows 3.1 back In the early 90s, I've yet to pay a single penny for an OS.

As for spyware, there are an array of tools that serve their purpose extremely well.

Are you thinking of upgrading to Windows 11?

I have It running on several laptops, and It's very stable and responsive.

I'm thinking about it. My brothers laptop works good on the new windows but he sometimes encounter errors like the cursor disappearing. Sometimes he cannot click on anything on the bottom left portion of his screen, restarting fixes the problem tho.

That's strange.

I have Windows 11 Installed on 7 laptops, and neither one Is experiencing anything to that effect.

W10 as main with Deep Freeze free trial for 30 days, liking Deep Freeze so far, and I've been using Autohotkey too and also enjoying that. And Void Linux as secondary (mostly I am in W10 nowadays though, bcs I can do Xbox Remote Play from W10, no Xbox Remote Play on Linux though).
I tried W11 for around 1 month and I hated it, it felt unfinished and I went back to W10 by doing a clean install (my hardware was unsupported anyway and I installed W11 using the unsupported hardware method and it worked, but in general W11 felt janky, simple things like the right click menu and the Windows Defender Antivirus app were messed up and it felt like I was test driving an unfinished OS).

W10 is my main procrastination OS
Linux is my main procrastinate and procrastinate even more OS

You can't go wrong with Deep Freeze.

A simple reboot, and the PC will be restored to Its original state.

Yeah it's a really great piece of software. I didn't even know it existed until I read this thread (was looking for something that could do this since I don't have an external HDD currently for full backups, so I just wanted to "freeze" the system).
I was looking for a crack but it seems that Faronics has changed the method for activation which is sad (I don't have much info about this), maybe I could try out a few cracks in a VM and see what works, but I'll end up with either older versions that are crackable or virus cracks that I can't use on the host.

Yes, It's a brilliant and very effective tool to say the least.

I believe I may still have a copy sitting on my external HDD.

It's just a matter of locating It.
