Manjaro was my first Linux distro ever. I wanted something that was fast, and something I could get my hands dirty with, but also wouldn't have to worry about the hassle of something like Arch Linux. Funny enough, I only ended up using it for a few weeks, and then I did move onto Arch Linux. Not the greatest experience I have to say. If you want an Arch distribution, use Artix.

yeah true, I've moved from Manjaro to Arch and back and forth, just settled on Manjaro since after reinstalling arch everytime I messed up something so much, i didn't want to fix or figure it out, so I moved to Manjaro. Will try Artix eventually though. Thanks!

I dual booted my laptop semi-recently, like a year and a half ago. It's currently Ubuntu and W10, but I used Mint for like 3 years straight, it was quite good on my work machine
I also tried Arch, but it felt like a timesink and a hassle most of the time

Any plans to use Windows 11 anytime soon?

I'm not sure about this one, I don't think I have any of the hardware incompatibility that people were raging about with W11, but I'm in no rush to do so. I'm more worried about it breaking workflow... I'll consider it if I get a vacation this summer.
Have you tried W11 already? Or planning to?

Yes, I have Windows 11 Installed on every laptop.

Compared to Windows 10, It's significantly quicker - boot & shutdown times, hibernate & resume and most other tasks.

Boot being quicker doesn't surprise me, Msoft did a good job with W10 in comparison to 7 and 8. It's comforting to hear that it got quicker, but I wonder what they did to make that happen tho. If I remember correctly, W10 shutdown acts more like old hibernate, in the sense that shutting off the computer doesn't completely clear the state and just saving it to temp files in the disk.
Would you recommend the transition, or like, encourage people to make the upgrade?

Absolutely.

If It's a legit upgrade (and not a clean Install), you won't lose your files nor the activation on the OS.

Alright, I will actively start planning for the upgrade then, I wasn't expecting it to be so well received

I upgraded mine using the Windows 11 Installation assistant.

The process Is very smooth and depending on your Internet speed and PC hardware, It takes around 30-45 minutes to complete.
