My teeth grind as I sleep so its until i kick that habit

It's pretty difficult to stop whilst you're asleep- not realizing what you're doing.

yeah man, its linked to my nail biting as well apparently, just have to wear the mouthguard for good now

Much to my dismay, I actually chipped my bottom tooth at work today whilst eating a date, namely accidentally biting the seed. It's not hurting "yet", but If I leave It be, It most certainly will. Looks like my visit to the dentist will be a lot sooner than later.

Chipping them doesn't actually hurt, get it filled down though so its not noticeable

Surprisingly, I've never had cavities before, but I've had a lot of friends get cavities filled. And yeah I agree with you, I thought I heard that filling really small cavities usually doesn't do any good.

Chipping them doesn't actually hurt, get it filled down though so its not noticeable

It's only chipped on the surface, which explains why It's not hurting.

It Is the back (bottom) tooth, but I'll still get It filled.

Honestly, next pay I'm going to see them. I think I have gingivitis because I didn't really brush my teeth for years (my dumb arse teenage years). I now brush them everyday.

Two weeks ago I started noticing a lot of sensitivity when I was drinking cool drinks, took a knock at training the day after and chipped all my lower teeth since i had no gumshield in, go to get that shit checked and mentioned here man this sensitivity shit

so right the lad goes and gives me a root canal, says the roots completely fucked
i take a drink, still sensitive as fuck and when i say sensitive i mean holy fuck some cunts sticking a needle in my teeth sensitive.
looks into it more and does an xray
turns out i grind my teeth so much i literally had broken my tooth in fucking two
now i have to wear this special mouthguard as i sleep

always wear a gumshield

That's insane! Why weren't you wearing a gumshield? They're so cheap and easy to use..

im fine lol was back at it the next day, bought a five quid gumshield working fine for me

gumshields dont actually protect your teeth by the way they stop you getting concussed mainly

They also stop you from biting your tongue/cheeks. It was drilled into me to wear mine when I started kickboxing xD

Good move, gingivitis can cause all sorts of Issues.

Early detection Is paramount In maintaining healthy teeth.
