RE: Visit To The Dentist #21
I only have the visit every few months like usual
Even though I dip I still take very good care of my teeth and the dentist usually says my teeth are in great condition except if I forget to brush sometimes.
Whoop Whoop?

Don't forget to "floss" as well.

A lot of people think that brushing alone Is enough, but from what my dentist advises, flossing Is of equal Importance. I never used to floss and he actually told me (regarding one tooth In particular) that If I didn't start, It'll most likely decay within the next year or so.

I'm usually pretty prompt when It comes to personal heath, so every 6 months (sometimes a little longer) I visit my dentist for a full checkup. Upon yesterday's visit, he said my gums are perfect with no signs of gingivitis nor any other form of gum disease. Good news there. Much to my surprise, he did find a very small cavity In one tooth which was filled there and then, and the rest of my teeth are perfect.

So who visits their dentist on a regular basis? If not, (why?) and how long has It been since your last examination?

No, I don't have spare money on teeth care, sad.

When you do, you know what to do.

The cost of dentistry Is ridiculous and given that you "have" to get your teeth fixed (or extracted), dentists know just that, hence elevate their prices.

Everytime I visit the dentist, I am like "I will be here again in 6 months for sure".

But I kinda forget it over the course of time. If friends or people talk about dentists, I start to remember "oh right I have to go myself" that's the point when I am making an appointment and go myself, just like now, lol.

The last time was before christmas 2016 I guess.

When the next visit Is approaching, my dentist sends me a reminder In the mail. You can always ask yours to do the same.

6 months comes around so quick. I'm due for x-rays next, and they're not cheap.

I didn't know they do that, that might actually help, if dentist himself/herself were to remind me.

Why the x-ray tho? Are you okay? o-o...

If your dentist has a secretary, she should be able to send reminders.

As for x-rays, I'm fine It's routine procedure. Dentists can only see what's going on superficially (on the surface). At times, Issues stem beneath the surface and that's when x-rays reveal what dentists can't.

Thank you.

I take x-rays once a year and the cost (100$), Is well worth It- just for peace of mind to know that everything Is fine.
