First of none of them "attacks" were ddos, they were dos and using ping to "ddos" or even do anything wont work because any server can handle a ton of ping requests. And that Cyphon program is just a gui for slowloris and only works for older sites. DDosing can be very strong. It's certainly not something to fool around with, an acquainted of mine has a relatively big net. He's using it as a protest over the arrest of Julian Assange.

If you do choose to fool around with a net and get a big net, remember your anonymity and security. Nothing should be able to lead back to you. But I wouldn't recommend it.
