Tutorial Boost Steam Downloading Speeds with CE 6.4!

Doesnt steam already always take all your download speed when ever it downloads something. was running 12mbits/s before and now 20. always seen it downloading like 1.3 to 1.4mb/s before and now like 2.1 to 2.3mb/s so thats max already what i have.. All these accelerators are fishy to me

This just speeds up the internal timer, so perhaps it tricks steam into showing a higher download rate - but believe me, your download speed is the same as it was. The speed hack effects your computer speed, but your connection is governed by the throughput of the cable and connection - unless Steam is capping your download limit from their servers or something, which would be bizarre.

It's cheatengine. It's not an accelerator, it's just a skiddy program.

It basically just alters the unit of measurement for Steam. Your DL speed will seam to go up but your ETA will be going down slower. It's bullshit in other words.

I set the speed hack to 500.0 and nothing happened.
I am severely disappointed I didn't get 5gbps download speed.
