As a Chinese, I don't understand why the US issued that.
After reading the article, I don't see how detaintions can lead to/cause a travel warning.

I would like to point out that nobody actually knows what REALLY caused the outbreak. All we have been given is "illegally traded meat at a fish market" which hasn't been confirmed/proven. It's a bit presumptive to blame them for spreading viruses all over the world. This is one massive virus, but they're not the only ones spreading it. They're not the first either.

I can't blame you for not wanting to go to China though. xD

Very well said.

The virus spread globally In a very short period of time, so It may well have originated from several locations. If It stemmed from one entity, I cannot fathom how It's Infected almost every country In a matter of a few months. Sure, It's contagious, but we're taking about the geographical area of the entire planet.

Exactly. Regardless of whether it had a singular origin point, the virus is spreading even after border closures, which indicates each of our own nations citizens are just as responsible for spreading it.

In addition, China isn't the only place where a coronavirus has made it's first appearance. For example, MERS appeared in Saudi Arabia.

Should be, ground zero for the outbreak and I doubt that the Chinese media is showing the real numbers.
