Top Gear has moved to Amazon Prime #1
Quote:Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have announced a deal with the web video service Amazon Prime, which has fended off competition from TV companies on both sides of the Atlantic to sign the former Top Gear trio. Work will begin next year on their new car show, which will go up against a revamped version of the BBC show, hosted by Chris Evans.

News of the deal comes after months of speculation about the former Top Gear presenters' next move. ITV and Sky had been touted as possible new homes for the team's next show, as had two of Amazon's online rivals, Netflix and Hulu.

"Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are reuniting to create an all-new car show," Amazon said in a statement. "The show will be produced by the trio's long time executive producer Andy Wilman."

Well that's disappointing. I had hoped Netflix would win.

Same. I don't like Amazon Prime, especially since I no longer have an Amazon account. Was really hoping for Netflix.

I couldn't bring myself to remove the hood classic above, enjoy it as a time capsule.

Cannot. Fucking. Wait.

As much as they are a trio of idiots, I loved watching them on Top Gear and was genuinely gutted when they all quit (following Clarkson's contract not being renewed after his "incident"). There are many reasons that show was so good and they are one of the main ones.

Oh and I get prime half price because I'm student. Fuck yes.

>actually paying

Them all quitting was the best thing that could have happened. I mean, we could've ended up with Hammond, May and Chris Evans...

I doubt it'll be that popular now that Amazon took it. Netflix would of been really good.

Not to be offensive to anyone In any way shape of form, but Top Gear Is one show I despise.

I think It's more so the presenter I dislike, his presence and demeanor Is Irritating. Friends of mine love It, but It's simply not for me.

Elaborate? There's three presenters but I presume you're talking about Jeremy Clarkson. The man is hilarious. He says what's on his mind and even though he seems like a joker, he was the one who actually moulded Top Gear into the international phenomena it is today.
