I do not aim to provide therapy, as I have found through a combination of personal experience and research that a therapist is merely a catalyst, change of a mental nature must come from inside. Decide what it is you wish to change, and set about doing it. It will come faster than you may expect.

Indeed, therapists have been useless to me personally, and I've been to quite a few. You should consider taking up the practice of "introspection", I recently reinvented myself and it actually wasn't as hard as I believed it would be.

You have to want it, and fake it til you make it.

Consider taking an "enneagram test" that will help you diagnose the type of person you currently are and point out some aspects of yourself as well as ways to improve.

Scrutinize everything you do, ask yourself why you think and act the way you do, try and relate certain aspects of it to certain aspects of your life, meditate regularly.

If you do, please document it and share it here, it could greatly aid others.

Arguably, as with anything in psychology there's always room for error, and nothing is ever considered 100% precise of an evaluation.
