I think so far, the biggest issue is people getting used to using it. But, I believe it is much better if everyone gets used to using IRC more. Tongue

It depends, I'd use Skype to chat with (rl) friends or family. And IRC for people I don't really know.

I might be interested. I've never had an chat software downloaded. Namely Skype, just because of the bad reputation it has had and how easy it was to get fucked over through it by exploits or resolvers. So I just stayed away. How much safer is IRC compared to Skype? In terms of revealing your IP and whatnot? Thanks.
