DAZ3D is similar to Poser (Poser is much more powerful though): http://poser.smithmicro.com/ it is just a poser, think of it as a scene maker... no advanced animation or modeling.
wow... DAZ Studio is still alive, I used it like in 2005 (I think) to make some images for a game!
Thanks for this share, you brought back nice memories, I used to be a 3D animator/modeler using 3D Studio Max... I was also involved in making games pretty much!

DAZ3D is getting better and better according to lots of people who have been using the product for years. I haven't used the program for long but what I do see is that there is an extreme amount of products available. Every day new products appear in the DAZ3D shop and then you also have other sites like renderosity and runtime dna. Another benefit is that you can use most poser stuff as well.
