RE: Partner's Family #11
If she is nearly 18 the authorities wont do jack shit. I've for the past 6 years been on the inside of that system and I can tell you that even when the police care, the courts often don't and like to send kids back to their family mostly because it costs lots to keep kids in care. The going rate for a foster carer where I live is about 300-400 a week if the local authority cant place them and most people don't want teenagers so it will go to a private company to deal with. I knew of a kid whose Dad was a paedophile and the mother was a complete psychic wreck and because she was 18 in about 6 months they just didn't care if she stayed or left, and she went back to them and was up the duff with in 2 weeks to an unknown father.

Just be a man and get a place for the 2 of you to stay if it's that terrible.

I understand what you're saying.

Whilst It's the right thing to do to pay rent (well done to her), the bottom line Is It's not her home therefore It's not her place to say what can/cannot be done. I'm speaking from experience as a home owner myself. I know what It took (years of hard work In the cold, heat, aches and pains etc) to make It my own and no one, not even my parents, can tell me what to do In my place.

This Is just a general statement, It's not aimed at yourself.
