Nvidia's been compromised, possibly by Russians. This news comes after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

NVIDIA has seemingly been hit by a major cyberattack that may have completely compromised parts of its business, reports The Telegraph.

In their exclusive report, The Telegraph reports that the cyberattack was initiated at the same time as the Russian cyber warfare division started their offensive against Ukraine. All Nato allies have announced major sanctions on Russia and this could potentially be why Russia has decided to target major companies such as NVIDIA.

even if its open source, other rivals cant use the code because of copyright claims on the nvidia source code, so they would start sueing the shit out of everyone

I wouldn't be surprised if AMD were looking to cash in on Nvidia's misfortune, albeit with the guidance of their legal team. There's plenty of ways they can inspect Nvidia's technology and continue to develop their own within the constrains of the law. DLSS/LHR are some of the technologies that had source taken.

AMD could theoretically surpass Nvidia in bleeding edge technology even without Nvidia's source code, they just arent a matured enough company (in my opinion) and have 2 sides to fight with which is Intel and Nvidia (in the graphics card and cpu industry) and could possibly cause a bit of restraints with development
