And apparently Nvidia gave them a taste of their own medicine: https://wccftech.com/nvidia-fires-back-at-hackers-by-encrypting-1-tb-stolen-data-successfully-ransomed-their-systems/ RE: Nvidia Compromised - elwoodb - 02-28-2022 If a China-backed company could produce their own GPU's on par with nvidia, that would be big.. RE: Nvidia Compromised - ConcernedCitizen - 03-03-2022 Leak it all. I love Nvidia but this is the type of thing that, when billions use your software, it should be open source. Everything should be open source. Fuck it. RE: Nvidia Compromised - Dismas - 03-03-2022 (03-03-2022, 11:56 AM)vittring Wrote: Leak it all. Fuck it. even if its open source, other rivals cant use the code because of copyright claims on the nvidia source code, so they would start sueing the shit out of everyone ![]() RE: Nvidia Compromised - Dismas - 03-12-2022 (03-12-2022, 08:08 PM)wsfgterwertgwer Wrote:(03-03-2022, 11:56 AM)vittring Wrote: Leak it all. Fuck it. the legal system (in america) or in any country really dont care if its "for inspiration," when it comes to violating copyright laws, although nowadays i really dont know what the fuck the legal system will pull out of its ass, all i know is that big corporate companies will ruin ur life because they have 500 (or more) lawyers working under them every day dealing with this sort of shit RE: Nvidia Compromised - Dismas - 03-14-2022 (03-14-2022, 01:06 AM)wsfgterwertgwer Wrote:(03-12-2022, 10:54 PM)Dismas Wrote:(03-12-2022, 08:08 PM)wsfgterwertgwer Wrote: even if its open source, other rivals cant use the code because of copyright claims on the nvidia source code, so they would start sueing the shit out of everyone I wouldn't be surprised if AMD were looking to cash in on Nvidia's misfortune, albeit with the guidance of their legal team. There's plenty of ways they can inspect Nvidia's technology and continue to develop their own within the constrains of the law. DLSS/LHR are some of the technologies that had source taken. AMD could theoretically surpass Nvidia in bleeding edge technology even without Nvidia's source code, they just arent a matured enough company (in my opinion) and have 2 sides to fight with which is Intel and Nvidia (in the graphics card and cpu industry) and could possibly cause a bit of restraints with development |
