In this lockdown, best way of communication is through various social media platforms
It depends who you wish to communicate with. There are many other gateways to get In touch with someone.

Personally, I've never had the need to use any social media platform, and never will.

This board is a prime example. xD
Absolutely, Inclusive of many other messaging platforms.

And what's wrong with picking up the phone and making a call, or shooting off messages? Or communication via email?  Social media has brainwashed many users Into believing their service Is an essential part of everyday life.

The thing with social media is that it has so many features and gimmicks ingrained which entice you to use it more than other platforms (that's ignoring the algorithms). Email is just that: an email. You don't have a nice profile you can dress up, and games you can play. I can see very clearly why social media is so popular, but getting people to shift away from it... I'm not sure I can see that happening.

That's precisely what I'm referring to In my previous post, namely this:

At the end of the day and In terms of communication, an email will certainly suffice.

As for games, social media Isn't the only resource online. I'm not targeting this at yourself, but simply commenting In general.

Too much of exposure to social media is not good. I usually keep particular timings in a day and am not much interested also.

I cannot imagine life without social media. Its not an addiction but it has become part and parcel of my life. I have never thought about leaving it for good. It has indirectly helped me a lot in various ways. I am sure many will vouch that but for the social media, life wouldn't have been the same during the current pandemic.

I don't have any except WhatsApp and YouTube. I don't have any idea to join any other social media in near future.

In today's world ruled by internet, contact and communication with near and dear ones are more often than not through social media. I do not think anyone can easily forego social media very easily. On the contrary, I feel people spend more time online than ever before. To be without internet and social media is therefore out of question for me.
