Omg he got into someones computer without asking and put a picture on it, the world is coming to a end, sometimes teachers need to relax, and ten day suspension along with a talk with him and his parents, would have been plenty of punishment. He's only a kid.

I fucked with my board's IT system in middle school, nobody gave two shits. Possibly because they're too dumb to figure out it was me, but nobody cared.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

I remember when I first started my school I would packet sniff the network and catch windows login attempts, and everyone thought I was a super leet hacker. Teachers had no clue what I was doing.

I find it funny that they point out more of the things he could have done, but didn't do, opposed to the things he did actually do.
Instead of blaming their incompetent security, they blame the ignorant kid. Good job, American schooling systems.
