Beautiful stuff, I approve so heavily this is actually the first thread I've ever bookmarked ( I have been thinking of giving Linux a try but my limited know-how in swapping entire fucking OS' makes it intimidating ).

Was expecting more explanation of Linux like
Advantages / Disadvantages of using Linux
Why it may be better than MAC or Windows.
What can Linux do and what Windows can't.
etc.
Anyway the tutorial is great very informative and clear.

Let me address something to all the new Linux users on this forum:
Don't use a Linux distribution just because it's recommended to you by someone. Google the pros and the cons of the distribution and see if it's the cons you're willing to work with and the pros over power the cons in the distribution at hand.
