In terms of secure/private web browsers, whilst there are quite a few, I recommend Epic Privacy Browser.
Amongst many privacy features, It has a built-In proxy and Is In fact developed from the Chromium source code.
I assume it's just
sudo apt-get install Epic Privacy Browser- browser?
Epic Browser Is only for Windows (exe file) and Mac OS X.
For Linux, run It In Wine.
In that case, I don't suggest that you use it, as you are more likely to run into WINE bugs. If there's no reason to use WINE, then don't. If you want a good browser on Linux that isn't Chrome or FF, try Falkon, Midori, or Epiphany. They are open source, and not made by shady companies such as Google (Mozilla has some issues too). If you want privacy, use one of those with your own proxy or VPN.
@GosuSang
Two things
1. This probably isn't your first post on Linux. Android and ChromeOS are both Linux (ChromeOS moreso than Android), along with Maemo/MeeGo and WebOS, and some other commonly used things. I honestly don't know why you are convinced on using Ubuntu. Crouton doesn't even install it properly, it just chroots it, and ChromeOS is a better distro than Ubuntu.
2. Chromium is fine. You might wanna try Iridium or IceWeasel or Brave browser or something, but it Chromium should be ok. (assuming you are fine with google spying on you)
