I used to carry a 10 inch fixed-blade "tactical" knife when I lived/worked on a Native Reserve for defence. It mysteriously disappeared after I moved away. Never ended up replacing it. Don't have a picture of it, and i can't recall what brand/model it was any more.
Nowadays I carry a Buck 112 for utility, and defence I suppose if necessary. Have had it for about 5 years now. Got it after the Buck 110 I got as a child went missing.
Now that I think about it... a lot of my knives eventually go missing... lol

Well being a prepper I always have gear with me or near me especially in my vehicles. But as for EDC I am not into folders I prefer fixed blades.
My current EDC as well as one of my main knives is my KaBar Becker BK16.
Good thing fixed blades are legal to carry here.
EDIT: 666 Posts, that can't be good.

I'm not educated on this fancy knife, but can ensure you my 10 dollar gas station knife can cut and stab any one stupid enough to walk up on me just fine. Nothing fancy, just a fold up but hell 4" of blade pretty much any where is more than enough to do the job.

Indeed, if it has a crap locking mechanism (or none at all) you're just as likely to severe your fingers to some degree. I don't think i'd trust a 10$ knife for anything more than opening boxtops, or maybe cutting an apple into pieces or something lol.
