Its called cracked....

As for OP:

Windows will NEVER simply "go down", it will always be the most used type of computer, Linux is only used by people who actually know their way around a computer.

It is not cracked, I downloaded it from Microsoft. As for your second statement, that is debatable. My aunt, who has never used a computer, has received a refurbished, by me, lap-top. I installed Linux on it, and have been training her to use it. She is defiantly not a person who knows anything about computers.

You're "TRAINING" her. I haven't heard anybody who uses Windows who needed to be trained. It sounds like fucking school. Linux is by far harder to use than Windows with a syntax and "way-around" sense if you already use Windows. Fortunately, I ain't a GUI nubcake. But, Windows won't go down without a fight, I'm sorry. Schools, universities, corporations use windows. Linux is too good to be true at the moment.

People need training to use Windows all the time. Not everyone grew up with computers in their life. In high school, we had one computer class for the entire school, and it wasn't easy to suddenly learn that, with a few clicks, I can send a message to someone across the world. If you grew up with computers, I suspect switching between the two would be as easy as it is for me now, since a whole lot of Linux distros are as easy, if not easier to use than Windows.

Basically, some people need training to use any form of computer. Some people use a computer as a means to an end, and have no interest in learning what they're doing and how to do it on an OS that's any different, hence why people still use WinXP.

People/companies will still buy Windows licenses just because it's easy to install and the it can be maintained easily and also it's pretty noob-friendly. Linux is Linux, Windows is Windows... doesn't matter how much the technology advances, there will always be people who can't do shit with computers, and giving them Linux as a base OS, they're gonna have a bad time.

That all depends on the distro, many Linux distros are easier than Windows.

I'm impressed with the amount of people using linux.... I have Ubuntu as a dual boot option but I rarely use it, only when I need it.

I'm almost the exact opposite, except I just use 3 computers instead of dual booting.
