Well, Avast! Free Antivirus is the best one that's good to me so far. I've tried Kaspersky, Norton, MalwareBytes, and countless others, but Avast Antivirus seems to be good to me.
Plus I like it when it says "*Ding!* Avast! Virus Database has been updated."

I would say Avira of my experience, its pain in the ass if you want undetect something from it.

I use bitdefender totalsecurity 2015. It apparently has been rated the best antivirus for 3 years in a row now. The only problem you might have is that for the first day it is kind of slow after install because it is cleaning up your pc if it is bad. When I had downloaded it on my one computer bitdefender deleted over 1000 adware that i didnt know was there.
