The combinations that work exceptionally well, are NordVPN & ZenMate as well as NordVPN & IPVanish. I have each combo running with no compatibility Issues whatsoever.

First Create a VM, Purchase your VPN with a Cryptocurrency so there is no linked payment details to your account that can incriminate you.

Create a VM and encrypt it with Veracrypt, Download CCleaner, Tor, VPN.

Activate VPN, Open up Tor (Connect with Bridges) , Change security settings to HIGHEST.

Done

I actually disagree with most of the comments here. A VPN is good, but there is a LOT of debate on whether it is actually going to increase privacy or not when combined with Tor. Tor already disguises your internet traffic and encrypts it through onion relays, so your local law enforcement won't see it if you accidentally click something illegal. The exit node will see the traffic, but they will not know which node the request came from.  It can't see the node that came before the one that last forwarded the request and the onion router sends the request through at least 3 nodes. Use a VPN if it makes you feel more secure, but I don't think it actually helps. That being said, most things on the actual darknet aren't actually that illegal. In my experience, the only actual interesting things on there is forums. A lot of it is onion mirrors for clearnet sites, like the Pirate Bay, Scihub, etc. There is definitely some illegal shit on there, but it isn't all that common or interesting. If you REALLY don't feel safe, I would just throw Tails on a USB, boot from that, and call it a day.

Like think about it.. how do they catch the biggest market owners so quick.. think about evo , alpha bay..

They were all high skilled, very well educated hackers.. they didn’t make a mistake over the years and yet they got caught so easily..
