sure, but it's also a security problem, so that might be the reason we should always encypt the drive with bitlocker.
It's definitely a security Issue, of which Microsoft have neglected to patch.
Personally, I don't trust any security features native to the Windows platform, In this case namely BitLocker. You never know for sure whether It's backdoored. I use VeraCrypt as my main form of encryption- both boot and removable drives.
the problem of veracrypt it survives by donation right? won't that be a risk? the company can close from one day to the other or just decomission their support
this does make me concern in using their product.
