Act as if you know nothing. You can only be sure about what you dont know.

You can be the master of your faith. The captain of your soul. But you have to realize that live comes FROM you and not AT you.

If it's a career path if it's a relationship if it's just buying a guitar online whatever choice you end up taking take your time with it. Honestly all I can say is that we as humans fear the future or want to be better than someone we heard of or want to be good at what we are doing so we rush into things cause we fear the future or time in general.

That's a nice one. I supposed it goes well with that concept of "live in the moment". If you're too busy rushing to the next goal or thinking about next year, you won't get anything out of the process, and may make poor decisions because of it.

I really like this one! There's nothing wrong with not knowing something. I find it very hard to admit that I'm oblivious about a topic when people act as though it's shocking if I say "I don't know that movie/singer/famous person/topic". You can't help not knowing what you don't know.

Not so sure I'd call that good advice. My only advice would be to seek out a therapist if this is something you truly believe. Not sure why you think that's an appropriate thing to say (unless for edgy humour of course),.

You will get hurt, sure, because not all people are good-willing and they will scheme to get what they want but a good boss (and unironically there are many of them around) will see who is honest and who isn't. Honesty matters in business. Yes, it won't make you awfully rich but it will make you moral. (imo)

This is a pretty good point actually! I've found the kiss-asses don't tend to last as long as the honest types in the workplace. I've been repeatedly re-hired by a company (I did a lot of temp /fixed term work) about 7-8 times purely because the bosses knew they could trust me. Whilst I'm not rising up the ranks, if I'd chosen to stay with them, I probably would have by now.

It doesn't always seem obvious, but in a lot of businesses management (especially at the top), need a support network. Having employees they can trust goes a long way. You're less expendable that way too.

Interesting.. I've heard the phrase spun the opposite way.. Unless it was a typo?
