Best Advice? - Boudica - 07-01-2023 What’s the best advice you have ever been given? Alternatively, what's the best advice you've given someone else? It can be generic life advice, or specific to a particular tasks/career. RE: Best Advice? - 7om 8rady - 07-02-2023 Be inclined to endeavor something at least once - never get stuck with those "what if" questions. If you want to venture into a different vocation or endeavor an incipient hobby, do the most diminutive things you can experience. Love yourself first - it is a cliche that you require to love yourself first before you can love others. The more comfortable you are with yourself, the better you can love someone else. I feel like it's much harder to achieve. However, at the end of the day, you're the person who has to spend the most time with yourself. You might as well love yourself! So it was some personal advice that worked out for someone. RE: Best Advice? - MrFakalot - 07-19-2023 Esteem others for what they are, respect is gained not bought. Trust nobody! That sounds a bit too much, but most of the times it turns out to be the right thing to do (07-02-2023, 04:12 PM)7om 8rady Wrote: Love yourself first - it is a cliche that you require to love yourself first before you can love others. As mama Ru says “if you can't love yourself How in the hell you gonna love somebody else?” RE: Best Advice? - kitkat2323 - 07-20-2023 do what you loved if its stupid too money will follow RE: Best Advice? - Boudica - 07-20-2023 (07-20-2023, 07:32 AM)kitkat2323 Wrote: do what you loved if its stupid too money will follow Do what you love is a nice one. Hard to make happen, but really important. We spend an awful lot of our lives working, so it should be doing something we're happy to wake up in the morning to do. RE: Best Advice? - YES MAN - 07-23-2023 Well it's more of a life experience to me than an advice but take your time with everything in life no matter what it is. If it's a career path if it's a relationship if it's just buying a guitar online whatever choice you end up taking take your time with it. Honestly all I can say is that we as humans fear the future or want to be better than someone we heard of or want to be good at what we are doing so we rush into things cause we fear the future or time in general. |
