Why does this happen? Is it stress related?

What do you usually do when you're not able to sleep?

I'd love some movie suggestions, or any suggestion on how to pass the time efficiently.

On my side it's usually really stressing me when I'm starting to fall asleep
I start to feel like it will never come, it's stressing me, then I think of the next, how tired I will be, it's stressing me even more, which gives me less chance to fall asleep etc.

What I thought is that I should let it go
not try to fall asleep.
In both case I will be tired the next day... so better enjoyed my time reading, gaming or watchign something

What helps me is not eating anything 4 hours before I sleep and listening to a night at the campfire on youtube

I like to study because when I start studying, I feel sleepy.
