Interestingly, a lot of people blamed the armorer:

It seems the armorer wanted to promote and ensure safety, but was overruled.

He would of felt good, because the act was intentional.

Alec Baldwin claimed in a interview that he did not pull the trigger, however he would of had to pull the hammer all the way back and cock it (which locks the hammer in place). In order for the gun to discharge, the trigger mechanism would of had to fail, or the trigger had to be pulled. One may think, what are the chances of a prop gun being wrongfully filled with live ammunition, and its trigger mechanism failing while it being pointed at a film worker that participated in a set walk out for unsafe conditions....

His defenses are that he didn't pull the trigger and that coworkers stated the gun was safe to use. They don't fire themselves and they're never safe to use. Only a murderer or a dumbass is going to claim otherwise.

Exactly, furthermore he also claimed that he didn't know there was a live round fired till 45 minutes after. He even said he thought the girl that was shot FAINTED. This absolute bulshittery in this interview will 100% be used against him in court. I'm starting to think he killed that girl in cold blood now...
