Females?
...
..
.
Silly ISP, you brought me to the wrong internet
j/k
I know some females very obsessed with programming.
There is actually a real love story, both girl and guy worked on the same emulation project, and eventually got married.

I would say that a majority of females who're hacker or programming related in the computer science fields, as evidenced by Deque for example & many more, are hesitant to evince their specific gender for reasons already mentioned by Deque and merely as a natural response to avoiding the stereo typical gender biasing due to our own inherit assumptions that "females just don't game, hack, or program" in the Internet realm.
As such, I'd clearly state with a reasonable degree of accurateness that Females indeed are more numerous among us here & elsewhere than we're fully aware of.
See Deque's first & second commentation on the subject as corroborating support for such.
Make note also of Drake8's comment in another thread where she states being female to many who thought her to be otherwise.
Notwithstanding, I as a matter of fact know several females, predominantly of the Asian persuasion (infer the Asiatic continent) who make a living on this very subject material being spoken of here.
