I do the same thing. I had 2 cavities in two of my wisdom teeth that's pretty much all there was. It's been about 2 months since my last checkup.

Two months doesn't warrant another checkup- most dentists recommend every 6 to 12 months.

However with the COVID-19 situation, most dentists In my locality, are not accepting patients unless It's an emergency.

Every 6-12 months, depending on your hygiene, would be correct. In my locality, some are wearing protective suits and whatnot.
