All of this is true.
If you're concerned your maths isn't up to standard, get a tutor. I suspect that degree is highly transferable for many careers. However, you asked if it is a career you should choose - yet you mentioned a degree, not a career. What specific jobs would you like to do? The answer to that question, will answer all your other questions.
If you're unsure of career ideas, try doing a job search. See what comes up and what kind of qualifications they want.
For general advice: It's ok to change your mind. There is such a thing as transferring. Don't be afraid to make a mistake. Also, if you have access to a careers advisor - SPEAK TO THEM. This is exactly what they're for.
