In my view, I believe this will benefit the consumer- It's a lot cheaper to repair a given Item than to purchase brand new.
From a business standpoint, well, It pretty much speaks for Itself. They'll lose sales (new Items not purchased) and money In loss of manpower (dedicated employees who're paid by the hour) during the repairs process.
