Right to Repair - Good or bad? #1
The European Commission are looking to implement a new set of regulations which ensure products such as electronics, mobile phones, batteries, fabrics and more, last longer and are able to be repaired.

It is part of the Right to Repair movement, which is usually fueled by ecologically conscious people looking to combat climate change. However, the other impacts could include a reduction in premature obsolescence of products. While this may not impact all countries, it is likely to include even the UK, post-brexit. This is because it may not be worthwhile for manufacturers to separately produce lower grade models for the sake of select countries. This could lead to new business models emerging.
