The way the SIM works is restricting any internet activity not routed through TOR. TOR routing has to be done manually on the user's phone the way I see it, I suppose by using Orbot on Android. If the user is on regular internet, the data just won't go through, but that's likely just done specially through the ISP not so much the SIM. I could be wrong though.

Yes it does. And if you were to use a VPN with that SIM, then you'd be good. However, I didn't think about the ISP. If they don't have any regulations against giving out info, then they're just as bad

Yes, it's not fully secure, but that's why you usually use a VPN with it
