My therapist prescribed me a sedative because I have insomnia. This zolpidem 10mg, but I'm 16 years old, and the instructions say that it is not recommended for people under the age of 18 years. Has anyone taken this drug in their teens? Is it safe?

You shouldn’t trust medicine. Insomnia is funny because it is a result of your sleep cycle being completly wrecked, and it causes your cycle to be unstable.

Medications do work, and It's perfectly fine to take them as prescribed.

However, I believe Issues begin when you become reliant on a given med. If you're taking (example) Diazepam for Insomnia and It's serving It's purpose well, the moment you stop, It can cause a negative Impact on your sleep cycle.

Medication supresses the symptons, it doesn't cure the cause.
