In terms of not responding "entirely", I definitely agree with this comment.

Nobody Is actually too busy to respond to you

In this day and age with all technological advancements on hand, unless you're In a coma, there's basically no excuse. A text message takes 5 seconds, much the same with a phone call and any form of message gateway. Simply put, to respond, It needs to be acknowledged. Anyone can dedicate a few seconds of their time- even with a simple "busy now, chat soon".
